Background

We developed a multi-use website, in collaboration with design firm Vintage Press & Co., for Crown Surface Solutions. The website is a user-friendly home-base for clients, salespeople, and management.

Public Site & Customer Shopping

The public site contains Crown’s vast product catalogue including detailed product information such as fire rating and installation instructions. Customers can register an account that unlocks additional capabilities including an optimized B2B shopping cart and sample ordering.

Accessing data through green screen terminals was tedious and inefficient, employees had to traverse multiple paths to access like-data. Additional challenges were faced when hiring and onboarding younger employees as the outdated terminal system tended to deter desirable candidates.

The website exchanges data in real time with the MultiValue database performing inventory checks and providing information about how much of a product is presently on-hand, or has to be ordered.

Key Features:

The website and UniVerse back-end are connected seamlessly. When an order is placed via the website, the back-end process is the same as if a customer service representative has manually entered the order in a green screen.
